The DALI OBERON ON-WALL is a slim, discreet and surprisingly powerful on-wall speaker, which utilises DALI’s unique on-wall bass port system. It houses an oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter together with a 5.25″ SMC based wood fibre woofer and the unique down-firing bass port system, which DALI has perfected. It combines technologies which make it possible to create a speaker that – despite its compact size – will render audio like a much larger model. For this reason, it’s the perfect choice for both stereo and surround setups.
The driver materials, crossover design and geometry applied in the OBERON series has been selected to achieve a wide dispersion pattern. This ensures a well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle. An added benefit is seriously reduced harmonic distortion and diffractions causing frequency distortion. This is why all DALI speakers are not designed to be toed-in.
The rounded edges and rustic fabric of these new DALI front grilles add a lighter and more contemporary visual look to the OBERON series. This look is enhanced by the elegantly shaped aluminium base mounted on the two floor-standing models.
The OBERON woofer features a wood fibre cone with a blend of fine grain paper pulp, reinforced with wood fibres, which creates a stiff, light-weight and well-behaving structure. In combination with a low-loss surround and spider suspension, this cone reproduces the micro details in the signal – unfiltered and with high accuracy.
The iron pole piece of the OBERON woofer magnet is crowned by a patented SMC disk – minimizing the negative effects of the iron. The use of the SMC disk greatly reduces mechanical distortion, which lowers third order distortion. This allows for a longer listening pleasure, a relaxed midrange and a surprising amount of detail for its price class.
The OPTICON LCR – a wall-mount model that’s combines the best of all technologies into a slim wall mounted cabinet that works wonders with sound. Second to none in terms of flexibility and performance. With airy highs, a detailed mid-range and a surprising bass, this on-wall speaker delivers a larger than life performance.
Capable of operating as either an independent 2.0 system or as the centre channel in a larger set-up, the rotatable OPTICON LCR fires out its audacious audio via a 6½ inch low-loss Wood Fibre Woofer.
Added to this is our rotatable Hybrid Tweeter module and, finishing the ear-delighting effect, an advanced bass port configuration built into the back panel which uses the wall on which it is mounted to extend its acoustic properties. The result is truly astounding bass response despite a compact cabinet, without the need for an additional subwoofer in your sound set-up.
Whether you want one speaker on your wall to handle all your audio needs or a centre speaker to add that something extra to your surround system, the OPTICON LCR is your sound solution.
Legacy The OPTICON LCR features the same low-loss Wood Fibre Woofer found in our flagship EPICON series, alongside our unique SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet motor system and a reworked version of our Hybrid Tweeter module also found in the RUBICON, all of which works together along with a individual bass reflex port for the woofer to produce audio exactly as the recording artist originally envisioned it.
