Finding space for high quality loudspeakers is not always an easy task. Finding the room for traditional Hi-Fi speakers in the living room, bedroom or kids room is always a balance between performance and size. DALI now has the solution to this problem.
The ZENSOR PICO VOKAL is an ultra compact high quality center speaker with a very small footprint. Using technologies known from the award winning ZENSOR series in a perfect match between woofer and cabinet volume the ZENSOR PICO VOKAL delivers astonishing detailed, coherent and full sound.
Despite its small size it fills the room and delivers a surprising bass performance. Place it close to the wall or directly on the wall for optimum performance.
ZENSOR PICO VOKAL is a compact loudspeaker – ideal for small to medium sized rooms. Use it in a 3.1 set-up or in a 5.1 surround system in combination with the ZENSOR PICO, as the distinguished and discreet sound resource it is.
Distinguished by its well-known DALI signatures such as the light and yet stiff wood fibre cones delivering a highly dynamic, detailed, and undisturbed sound reproduction, while ultra-low mass dome tweeter material ensures a widely extended frequency range.
The ZENSOR PICO VOKAL also has an upright counterpart, the ZENSOR PICO. Combined they make the ultimate compact surround experience.
Chord Odyssey X uses the same materials as Rumour X. Odyssey’s heavier gauge conductors bring so much more detail and dynamics to a system, along with a degree of control and definition that can transform the performance of both floor and stand mounted loudspeakers. Odyssey was launched in 1998 and set a new standard of performance. It’s neutrality, its compatibility and consistency of performance from system to system made it very rapidly our most popular speaker cable.
Hi-Fi News magazine liked Chord Odyssey so much because of its performance and price that it won the best speaker cable award for five years in a row.
Over the years, changes have been cosmetic only. The current version has a white PVC outer jacket with a diameter of 8mm, still discrete in speaker cable terms and still good enough to let even the biggest of systems sing like they should.
Previous versions of Odyssey speaker cables used PTFE insulation (often referred to as Teflon™) and until the arrival of Taylon®, this was our “go to” material. Although expensive, PTFE offered the best performance.
Material technology is constantly developing and improving and alternatives to PTFE are now available. While the high cost of Taylon® prevents us from using this in all of our ranges, another insulator – XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene) came to our attention. One particular version of this material proved to be clearly better than PTFE, so Odyssey X was born.
The conductors used in Odyssey X are also found in Chord Epic and Epic XL speaker cables.
If you’re considering Odyssey X you should also have a listen to the similarly priced Chord Shawline X.
An ultra lightweight, palm-sized HDMI extender set supporting all resolutions up to Full HD 1080p 60Hz content uncompressed up to 30 metres over one twisted pair Cat cable. Control of the transmitter source is made possible via a return IR channel and included IR cabling.
We have developed an uncompromising center speaker for all of you multi-channel fans – the DALI EPICON VOKAL. Incorporating 2 x 6½” woofers along with the hybrid tweeter module this speaker promises the same level of transparency and timbre matching with the rest of the series.
EPICON VOKAL will match any of the three main speakers, and it will benefit any setup where the realism and realistic sound pressures are required. Common to all the EPICON speakers is that they work well in both 2.0, 2.1, 5.1 or other multichannel systems.
50% of the acoustic energy in a normal movie comes from the center channel. The EPICON VOKAL is up to the real challenge. Meticulous timbre matching and the same ability to render finer details exactly the way they were recorded is an EPICON trademark. Here, e.g. the effortless reproduction of human voices is what sets DALI EPICON VOKAL apart.
Advanced Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) makes up the heart of the magnet motor system, where it reduces colouration and distortion to a minimum compared to conventional drivers. SMC makes the music come alive inside your living room.
Optimized for the EPICON series. Featuring an extremely smooth and wide horizontal dispersion.
Engineered by DALI for ultra low contact resistance, durability and mechanically sturdy construction. High quality gold-plated binding posts.
The DAC is a small and simple device that converts a digital audio input via S/PDIF optical TOSLINK or coaxial RCA connection to 2-channel analog stereo RCA L/R audio. The DAC enables utilisation of audio devices that incorporate a digital audio output with the MHUB AUDIO, via its four stereo analog inputs.
Rayno sits on the board of Directors as a shareholder. He has been with the company since 2003, originally working as an employee in the position of Sales Manager. At that time it was a far smaller enterprise, consisting of 1 branch with 6 staff members. In 2008 the original owner sold the company to the van Heerden family, who officially took over as of May 2008 and have since managed to grow it into what it is today.
Rayno has created and maintained excellent relationships with motor manufacturers.
Thanks to him, Planetworld is a supplier to the likes of Nissan, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Ford, Subaru, Datsun, KIA, Haval and Toyota to mention a few. Along with his team, Rayno sources products then, working closely with the manufacturer, helps develop and customise them to suit the South African market. To date, he has created inhouse brands – OneNav, Planet Multimedia, Smart Mirror and TyreTech.
Rayno credits his obsession with service and his dedication to customer satisfaction to his 15-year career as a waiter. He’s always had an adventurous side enjoying hobbies such as hang gliding, skateboarding, surfing and trail running. As per family tradition, Rayno loves his music and plays a number of instruments, even having composed a few of his own original songs.
